The 17th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, held from 12–14 September 2024 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds in Bulawayo, brought together a vibrant mix of over 400 exhibitors from across the globe, transforming the venue into a dynamic hub of cultural exchange, business networking, and tourism innovation. Set against a backdrop of bold branding and energetic displays, international delegates joined Zimbabwean tourism stakeholders to showcase destinations, forge strategic partnerships, and explore sustainable growth under the theme “Unlocking Tourism Potential for Sustainable Development.” The expo featured immersive elements including a Scholastic Tourism Conference focused on heritage-based education, a MICE Masterclass, and familiarisation tours to iconic locations such as Victoria Falls, Hwange, Matobo National Park, and Great Zimbabwe. Cultural performances, rural craft exhibits, and provincial showcases brought Zimbabwe’s rich heritage to life throughout the event. Sanganai 2024 not only highlighted the critical role of tourism in Zimbabwe’s economy but also reinforced the country’s growing reputation as a must-visit destination on the global stage.
